Works the best. I have used this brand since purchasing my refrigerator . I recently purchased a different brand from a different company. That was a big mistake. I purchased a two pack . The new one fit but when the water came out it had gray stuff floating in it . When it cleared with the water you ar supposed to run through it before drinking , the water had a weird taste. The company told me to put the other filter in and see if that worked. The gray stuff was even worse. I contacted them again they are giving me a refund.
I ordered this filter and got it the next day . After running the water through ( no junk ) the water has no flavor. The way it is supposed to .

For our household, we’re not fans of the taste of our local tap water, so a good filter isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity. This genuine FRIGIDAIRE EPTWFU01 filter is the official tool for the job, and it does that job well, but it comes with a significant trade-off between its cost and its convenience.
The Good – The ‘Simplicity’ Factor:
The best thing about this filter is its sheer simplicity. Installation is a breeze: you just push the old one in to pop it out, then click the new one into place. There are no tools, no water lines to shut off, and no guesswork. The refrigerator’s control panel automatically tracks the filter’s life and gives a clear ‘Replace’ notification when it’s time for a new one. This ‘set it and forget it’ system is incredibly convenient. The water tastes clean and crisp, which is exactly what you want.
The Bad – The ‘Cost’ Factor:
The main drawback is the price. These OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) filters are significantly more expensive than other filtration methods, like an external inline filter that you can splice into the refrigerator’s water supply line. For the cost of one of these, you could often buy a year’s supply of generic inline filters. It feels steep for a disposable item you have to replace every six months.
Conclusion:
Ultimately, you’re paying a premium for a perfectly integrated and hassle-free system. While I’ve noticed that Amazon consistently has some of the most competitive prices for these genuine filters, the cost is still high. If you are someone who values absolute simplicity and is willing to pay for the convenience of a 30-second, tool-free replacement, then this is the right and only choice. However, if you’re more budget-conscious and comfortable with a little DIY, you might find an external inline filter to be a more economical solution

These work just fine. I did get one filter that wouldn’t seal and leaked all inside the fridge. I returned it and next one works fine. It happens.

We’ve had a Frigidiaire fridge for 9 years now and initially used a knock off brand filter. Unfortunately, they eventually broke a part inside of the fridge and I had to have an appliance repair person come out, who told me that happens all the time with the no name brand filters. From that point forward, I only buy this brand. Easy to install and water always tastes great to me.

The manufacturer or actual dealer says that you need to buy from them since you got the system from them but there prices are way higher. Well, I tried this and then I ended up buying two more. It was the exact model that my fridge needed, just like in the store- not like something where it is CLOSE to what you would get in the store. Good quality and really easy to install
