    This Ice Maker is Awesome!!!
Just right for an apartment. Perfect little nuggets of ice I love to chew on. Ready in a matter of minutes. It does make a little noise, but I don’t hear it anymore. It’s minimal. This saves me room in my tiny freezer, and I don’t have to fight with an ice tray. I highly recommend this Ice Maker! It ROCKS!!!

I was not a believer when my husband made this purchase. I did not think we needed an ice maker. Well. We received the package, assembled it (which was quick and easy), and plugged it right in. We poured in some nice cold water to the MAX fill line, and we waited. It didn’t take long at all. 6-8 minutes later, we had gorgeous little gems of ice. Beautiful, tiny nuggets of joy. The ice is delightfully crunchy, but yielding. The whole unit fits nicely on my countertop, and we have a rather small kitchen. It’s worth making space for. I was skeptical of the price point as well, but after literally one evening of enjoying The Perfect Ice, I am convinced that it was well worth the cost. I could not be more pleased with this purchase.

This ice machine was great for about a month, but then we started running into issues. It finally kicked the bucket 3 months in, and I’m returning it. There is a really big design flaw with how the water is routed into the machine. There’s two water reservoirs, one of which is in the back. This one in the back has 3 tubing areas that grow and house mold VERY WELL. It’s really hard to get this machine clean. Another issue is it gets clogged while making ice very easily. It will start making this obnoxiously loud screeching sound periodically because ice is stuck in the machine. The only way to clear it out is to turn the machine off and let it all melt, or let it run a cleaning cycle with hot water. This was only a temporary fix as this would happen several times a week towards the end of its life. After 3 months, it finally just stopped making ice all together. It would say that it needed water despite being to the max level of water. I had the option of emailing the manufacturer, but with all the issues we’ve had, I opted for a return through Amazon.

Pros: makes nice pebble ice, quiet (when functioning properly) fast

Cons: does not make a lot of ice, really hard to clean thoroughly, only lasted about 1.5 months before starting to die, gets clogged easily, dies after 3 months of use

This little machine makes great ice, and makes it fast! Love the little nuggets (rather than cubes or bullets). I go through a LOT of ice, too.
Only two drawbacks: it’s noisy (I unplug it if I’m on an important call), and I wish it had a dedicated water line—but it don’t think any countertop ice makers have a water line. You probably have to go commercial for that.
Even so, I recommend it. My friends are jealous. Easy to clean, looks good on the counter, and keeps up with my demand. I can deal with the noise😁

The ice as advertised is very small. As long as that is fine you’re good. But if you let your drink set for more than a few minutes keep in mind it will be watered down. Also the machine itself is quite loud. Added 60 days later: the machine noses got worse then stopped working. I contacted the manufacturer. After submitting a receipt and audio I was quickly sent a replacement. So far that has worked well.

This is NOT a nugget ice maker. Its ice is NOT like sonic ice. It is just small, chipped ice. Like when you hit “crushed ice” on a refrigerator.
After having a different brand of nugget ice maker that broke after 1yr, we tried this brand and model. Not only is it small, but high we expected, it is very loud. My husband was immediately unhappy with how loud it was, but was willing to overlook it because I love pellet ice. Unfortunately, once it started making ice, it became apparent that it is not truly pellet/nugget/sonic ice. It makes regular ice in a small size. But the ice does not have the right texture or feel. It’s just plain old ice. The only reason I was OK paying for an ice maker is to get the pellet ice, so we returned this item.

Been wanting one of these for a long time, and I really like it. Did a bit of comparison research first and this one really fits our need as a family of 3 with casual use for ice in dinner glasses, etc. I’ve always LOVED crunchin’ “Sonic style” ice, and now I can make it myself at home.

The freezer was packed very well so it shipped great without any imperfections. It’s advised to wait at least 24 hours to use it (I read further online that it’s even more advisable to maybe wait a bit longer, 48 hours actually, to assure the compressor oil and liquid refrigerants trickle down to where they belong and protect it for the longest service life (like breaking in a new car properly). After waiting a couple days, we tested it. I’m opting to only put bottled distilled water to also care for it by reducing contaminants and scale.

Operation is pretty simple, and boy, the ice is perfect. Nice, neat little nuggets to crunch and keep soda’s cold. It doesn’t take long to begin to make ice, and while it may take about 10-15 minutes to make a large glass-full (like a tumbler) of ice, it’s easy enough to just turn it on ahead of time and let it tick away until the basket’s full, and it’ll keep refilling it as you grab bits to use. The speed at which it produces ice may be a bit slow for a very large, demanding family, but for us, it’s plenty quick/abundant enough.

I haven’t had it long enough to test the cleaning cycle, but I’m sure it’ll do fine. I’m used to the process having a Keurig, which has similar routine upkeep for cleaning, conditioning. I plan to keep the dedicated solutions on hand, and they say it’s needed about once every 2 weeks. Easy enough.

It’s not terribly inexpensive, but it should pay for itself in a few months for me, because I’ll be cutting out a lot of drive-thru sodas when I can truly duplicate them at home now with less expensive 2-liters and this ice machine.

    Anyway, recommended!
