I really liked this self-tanner drops because it’s convenient and leaves a natural, streak-free tone. I mix it with my moisturizer and can control the level of tan based on the number of drops I use, which I love. These drops never make my skin orange and blended seamlessly into my natural tan. The drops have an amazing clean smell it reminds me of coconuts and being away on a tropical vacation.
I wanted to do a good and honest review I tried these drops 3 different times, on 3 separate spots. I tried these drops with body lotion, body cream and gel body cream.
Body Lotion- Worked the best, my summer tan was matched after one application. This mixture covered my strap tan lines perfectly.
Body Cream- The colour came up light I would need to add more drops than recommended to get colour to match my summer tan. But would leave my winter skin with a nice glow.
Gel Body Cream- This cream mixed with the drops left extremely little colour and I wouldn’t recommend this.
If you find yourself not achieving the tan you thought, I recommended changing the cream/lotion and trying again. Ensure you’re reading the directions and using the correct amount of product and lotion.

These drops work pretty well. My complaints are that after a few hours my skin starts to smell weird, like it’s burned. The foam doesn’t give off that smell. The color overall is nice, except, there is a orange tinge that is noticeable. I feel that the orange starts to fade away after the first or second day. Since this needs to be mixed with a lotion, the combo takes a while to dry on the skin (hours). Because of this I do get streaky areas on my body, since i can’t stand around naked for hours waiting for it to completely dry. I recently tried the foam and it dried way faster. I haven’t tried their tanning lotion yet. I love that the ingredients are safer than most sunless tanners though. Overall, I do like this product and will continue to use it.

This is a cosmetic solution and not a medical solution for vitiligo. That said, I found that careful application does work very well. It will need to be reapplied of course depending on your surrounding skin tone and fading, but it will help to cover the white areas, rather than applying makeup each time you go out.
Here is what I found helpful for some vitiligo on my hands. For a trial application, I first made a small amount of lotion Less than 1 Tbsp in a paper cup with a few drops of tanner starting with lighter concentration. Mix very well with q-tip. With a fresh q tip or you could use an artist or small make up brush, gently paint a LIGHT application on the white areas. You don’t want the lotion to go into the creases of your fingers which will look artificial so keep it at the surface of the skin. 🙂 Also, do this in very good light so you can see the exact delineation of darker skin to lighter. Let it develop and see if you need several applications to match you skin tone. This may take a couple of days to accomplish the perfect result. If you apply too concentrated a solution or too heavily applied, it will look blotchy and color will be off.
Next step. For ease of use and consistency of application, I found that mixing a Tbsp in a very tiny glass bottle with more tanning drops and applying it for a couple of days is achieving a perfect match. I don’t want it darker than my skin around it, just to blend in and I am seeing this accomplished. Be patient with the process of checking how it developed in your skin. It’s time consuming, but worth it.
I think that vitiligo is challenging as it is a noticeable condition, but not contagious. When out in public, I don’t want people to be concerned wondering what is this skin condition-scars or something contagious-so I have covered it. I hope this will be a more long lasting solution than applying foundation. There is a beautiful model out there who has vitiligo and doesn’t cover it up and that is a positive step for public awareness. 🙂

* After applying, make sure to either stay undressed or don’t wear anything snug for 30 min minimum. If not, you’ll have white marks (from underwear and socks). * Yes it smells. I bought the medium. But since my skin tone is already “tanned” I’m considering buying the dark one too and mixing a few drops into the medium. Maybe that way I have to use less product. Because honestly I feel like I have to use A LOT in order to have this beautiful skin.
