This is a very nice range hood. It does take a little bit of work to install because chances are your installation area isn’t the exact dimensions for this, so some carpentry may be needed to have this mounted on a proper frame. The plastic covering the stainless was very annoying to remove. This range hood runs fairly quiet. Note that this is a plug in unit, and the instructions say do not cut the cord… so if your last hood was hard wired you may need an outlet installed as well.

This range hood looks amazing once you remove the protective film. I love that it’s brushed stainless steel and is a breeze to keep clean. This unit can be used as a circulating ventless model incase pre-existing venting outside your home is not available or not wanted. I really like that feature as our old vent hood is a ductless model as well. It does require charcoal filters though that are sold separately.
The controls offer touch less sensors, which is nice so you don’t get dirty fingerprints on the controls. The only thing that’s a bit of a pain is that the controls face down, which I often find myself bending down to find the sensor control area. Our stove has a black glass top though so you can also see the reflection below. It is loud on high but you can adjust the fan motor to lower rpm’s if you don’t need full venting. I would just recommend measuring the cabinets above your stovetop to ensure you can accommodate the larger fume box. It also needs to be a completely open space inside without any centre support. You have to cut out the underside of the cabinet (13.5 x 26.5 inches) and it does extend up inside about 16 inches. If you’re installing this to a 6 inch vent elbow you’ll increase the height from 16 (dustless) to 24 inches with the added height of the elbow…so just keep that in mind. Also, this unit has a standard 110 v plug. We have a receptacle in our upper cupboard area so that wasn’t an issue for us.
It’s a pretty nice unit over all. My only consideration I have is I feel like the charcoal filters for ductless installation should be included. I also wish the control panel was not facing down but designed to face angled more forward. I decided to remove one star for this oversights. They are not deal breakers but some a few things that I feel could be improved.

The led bar light provides even, bright lighting over both sides of my stove. The stainless steel is nice and easy to clean. Definitely best to plan ahead if you’re converting to ductless. This thing isn’t going to win any beauty pageants; it’s what you use when you need to get something done. Maybe if you’re building a tiny house and you’re doing with short ceiling space you would use something like this over the oven which is what I used it for.
The setup is incredibly plain and simple but it gets the job done. In regards to installation make sure you install it where you have easy access to routing the air outside.
Outside it’s a decent buy.
