I’ve been using fake tan forever (since 1989) and this is hands down the most convenient non messy fake tan I have ever used. I bought Jergens Natural Glow in shower gradual tan so that I could keep my fake tan going during a holiday, I don’t lie in the sun because I don’t want skin cancer/aging/leathery skin. I didn’t want to have to take extra time to tan or risk getting the guide colour of my usual fake tan on clothes and bedding. I trialled the tan before my holiday and ditched my usual fake tan for this. It was brilliant, I showered every evening before going to dinner and applied Jergens. The colour isn’t the best I’ve used but it’s good, the smell is fine too although did seem to get a bit stronger after using every day for a fortnight. It doesn’t colour towels, bedding or clothes as far as I can see. I have found that I get the best most even results if I use a damp facecloth over my wet body to mop up excess water before application and then air dry before dressing. I’ve also used the lighter colour but find this darker shade more suited to my needs.

Works great if you use the disposable toilette tanner first, then this cream evenly over. Use clear plastic gloves. Very cheap here on Amazon. Perfect for that outing where you don’t want those white Irish legs to be glowing with all their glorious whiteness. Should like a pain but it’s really not. Use a good scrub brush on your heals and feet to keep them to stay even. You will have more dry skin on your feet. EXFOLIATE as much as possible. Do worth it. Have patience.

I’ve repurchased this Jergens Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer more times than I can count — it’s that good. I apply it twice a week, right after showering while my skin is still damp. It dries quickly (no need to rinse!), and I’ve never had any issues with it rubbing off or staining my clothes.
The gradual tan is beautifully golden — never orange — and it fades evenly without any streaking or patchiness, which is rare in both drugstore and high-end self-tanners (and trust me, I’ve tried most of them).

I like that I can use it in the shower and there’s not a messy application. It means what it says on the packaging and doesn’t transfer onto anything (I sit on my white couch and sleep in my white sheets after using this with zero staining ever!) I love the natural buildable color and that it helps maintain my spray tans (I’m naturally fair and use medium dark and it’s perfect!!) It’s also a very reasonable price. My first self tanner experience. I’ve only applied it twice so far but have had no streaks. The color develops over the next 4-8 hours and looks very natural. I’m latino and have olive skin that usually browns during the summer. I was chasing a hint of that summer glow at the tail end of a long winter. Consider it achieved! Friends who had not seen me for a week did not comment on the change to my complexion after 1 application, which was the desired effect because I’m very embarrassed about using self tanner. But I just feel more like myself with a sunny glow! Was worried about looking orange or having obvious streaks, I needn’t have worried. My skin feels nicely moisturized considering I usually only moisturize my face and sometimes hands. Does not dry sticky but does feel a tiny bit oily, will try applying more lightly in the future. Seems like a good quantity for the money. Strongly scented products give me headaches but this has not had that effect, just a slight nose tickle. The scent is not overly strong and is pleasant.

I wanted something that could give my skin a bit of warmth without the fuss of traditional self-tanners, and this has been perfect for that. I mostly use it on my legs and glutes, and it gives just enough color to bring out definition—especially nice after working hard through winter at the gym. The fact that you apply it on wet skin right after showering makes it super easy and quick to use, which is a huge plus. It leave this characteristic smell of a self tanner on you skin but it’s very subtle. However, after multiple uses the scent builds up on a towel. I keep a separate towel for the days I use it, and when I am not. But it doesn’t stain towels. Absorbs fast enough that I can get dressed pretty quickly afterward. It’s not going to give you a dramatic tan overnight, but for a soft glow that enhances your natural tone, it’s become a staple for me.

I used to use this product a decade ago or more, so I decided to try it again. I’m on a budget and need a white girlie tan! 😆 This in-shower lotion was under $10! I’ve always liked the tan I get from Jergen’s gradual self-tanners, both the lotion and this product. I feel like this one is a little quicker to develop compared to the regular lotion.
I attached a pic of my leg 3 days apart. I applied “medium to deep” after my bath 2 nights in a row. I noticed a subtle glow the first time, and now I think I’ve achieved the light tan I was going for! I don’t want to look too dark or fake, so now I’ll just maintain it by applying it every 2-3 days.
It doesn’t stink nearly as much as others do. It’s a little perfumey, but I like it. I haven’t gotten too many streaks or patches. No color on my clothing or sheets. When I wake up, I smell a faint fake tanner smell, but it washes away. If I can’t shower right away (like when I have to take my son to his bus stop), I just wipe off with wipes and use a smelly lotion…. It works!
My tips: Apply it to freshly wet skin, but start with a quarter-size amount. I do my upper body first, use the leftover on my hands to apply to my face, then do my lower half. I avoid going between toes and fingers. On the second night, I also avoided my knees, ankles, and elbows. If you have dry skin, apply a small amount of regular lotion to those areas first (even on damp skin). Scrub any areas that look too saturated to achieve an even tan.
Slightly orange in pics, but in person it has a healthy glow and looks richer! Makes me feel more confident in shorts and at the gym. ☀️
