I grill and smoke year round and while I have “chef hands”, it’s still not my favorite thing to grab piping hot food off the cooker. I usually just wear nitrile gloves. I have a pair of silicone gloves but they are ridiculously clumsy and they are slick. I’ve dropped a few things with them. They aren’t practical.
However, these gloves are great. They aren’t too bulky. They are comfortable and not rigid. And more importantly I can’t feel a thing when grabbing a brisket or pork butt off the smoker at 200-209 degrees. They have a great grin so you won’t drop what you are holding. Also, they look great. I have the American flag design.
Great pair of heat proof gloves for inside our outside. Plenty of applications.

These gloves are awesome for your grilling needs to ensure you dont burn yourself on a hot grill. They are much heavier and thick than I expected, about as thick as a typical kitchen heat glove. The palm has reinforced stitching, I dont see these falling apart any time soon.

I’ve tried several different styles of hot gloves for handling things on the grill. My most recent addition were these gloves from Grill Rescue. The palms and fingers are layered leather covering the cloth glove. They feature a very generous cloth wrist cuff to protect the wrists from heat and burns as well.
The fingers are a little stiff because of how thick the construction is done, but not so much as to be a problem. I appreciate that they are able to keep me from burning my hands even when carrying a steaming pot of chili in a cast iron dutch oven that has been on the grill for 8 hours. Other gloves are either too thin to protect me or so thick and awkward as to make handling things hard.
These gloves capture just the right balance of being protective and functional. And I got the American Flag pattern ones. Wow they look so great! Highly recommended!

Like others, I had these and was very excited to use them however they do not protect against any kind of heat from a pan even at 400º. very disappointing.

Got these for father-in-law because he likes to build fires in his fire pit and all of his oven mitts were old and gross. The texture is of suede with another inside layer. This is just such a cool product and he was excited to “break them in” lol
He claims it’s the best mitt, thick and he didn’t feel heat through the glove at all.

We frequently use cast iron to cook in our home. The cast iron handles get extremely hot. I ordered these gloves so that we could handle the hot pans. The performance of these gloves worked great. I was able to hold the pan handle and slowly pour my food in to serving dishes without experiencing any heat or pain in my hands. The flexibility isn’t the easiest since the gloves have to be made with a very thick material, but I was still able to pick up my pots and pans with no major issues. The size of the gloves are big enough to accommodate my husband’s large hands. The gloves are a bit easier for him to use since they are more well fitted to him and it’s easier for him to flex his strong fingers than it is for me. The material of the gloves is made out of neoprene which has always been a very durable and tough material. For reference, I ordered the camo color of this product and it looks fashionable and trendy. The current price of $39.95 seems a bit on the expensive end, but the quality is great.

I have purchased these gloves in the past from this company and wanted a pair to keep in the house for my oven and hot items. I compare the gloves to what I used as a firefighter but not made to be used for that extreme type of use. They are bulky but fit well on my medium size hands and I’m able to grip things well with these gloves. Protects your hands from hot things. Palms and fingers on the underside are made of a heavy duty leather. The top side is a colored camo but be careful the top side of the glove can melt if exposed to fire or extreme heat for too long. If you want your friends asking where you got those gloves at your next bbq get yourself a pair.

The best word I can use to rate these gloves is “adequate.” Yes, they work. They have woven backs and leather palms, with a double layer at the knuckle joint. However, it’s not thick leather. While it protects from the heat while grilling, it’s best to not linger over the fire for very long. You can grab something hot but set it down as quickly as possible, or you will start to feel the heat.
I decided to try these as an alternative to the welding gloves I usually use for grilling, which are half the price of these. In the end, the welding gloves are much better, going higher up the arm, having thicker leather, and having leather on both sides and to the top. However, these gloves aren’t as bulky and give you a little more dexterity.
The fit is good, and they are comfortable. They only come in one size. I usually take a large or extra large glove and these fit me well. In the end, they work but are nothing special. They are somewhat overpriced for what they are, and reasonable alternatives are available for less money.
