TLDR: After using this product to secure my home, my energy bill dropped significantly
I moved into a small 20 yr old townhome in Nov 2019, around 1500 sq ft. I was surprised to get my first heating bill (I live in Richmond BC, by gas via Fortis BC). It was way beyond any utility bill I have paid. A year later I decided to install this window insulation kit and you will see in my attachment that my energy used dropped signifcantly. To put things in perspective, remember that in 2019/2020 Jan and Feb it was still ok to go to work and travel so we were barely home and I had the heat down during the day; whereas 2020 we are home all day and needing heat as well. The average temp for both years were 5 celcius in January 2019 and 2020 with 4 celcius in Feb 2019 and 5 celcius in Feb 2020.
Overall, I highly recommend this product to those who want to insulate their home better. Especially those that are older with single pane windows.

Have tried a few brands of this kind of glazing film – and this is the best by far.
Best tape and best film.
Have seen a rebranded version of this in the UK, but can’t recall the name.
Other versions have sub-standard tape where the film comes un-stuck quickly.

Every window in every home should have over your window. Double sided tape is very sticky.one you a ply heat and it shrinks and tightens (used hair dryer) can’t even tell its even on. KEEPS THE COLD OUTAND THE HEAT IN.

J’ai suivi exactement les instructions mais le ruban adhĂ©sif double face ne maintient pas le film en place tout autour de la bordure, nous ne pouvons donc pas obtenir le plein effet de l’isolation. C’est domage.

This did well in keeping a lot of the frost out last Winter. However, they looked horrible on our windows. The crease lines from being folded up in the box did not go away and they did not sit nice on the window

Ordered two boxes of nine. The first box had a roll of tape that the backing on one side of the tape had green lettering that I think said Frost King. Those nine went on with absolutely no problems and I would give it a five star. The next box roll of tape had no green marking on one side of the protective material on the roll of tape and it was a disaster. It kept peeling off of the window and would not stick like the first one that had the green markings on the tape. Just be aware, green markings on the protective sides of the tape thumbs up, no green marking on the tape, disaster. Looks like product made in China, some company in China came by Frost King’s office in China and sold them a bill of goods on their tape versus the first tape. Frost King, they’re not the same! First box five stars, but unfortunately I’m going to have to give them a one-star because of the tape in the second box.

Great item, does help temperature from fluctuations. Helps keep the cold out. Easy install.

This window kit was super easy to apply and made a big difference in cutting down drafts. The plastic tightened up nicely with a hairdryer and is nearly invisible. Great way to insulate without spending much!

Works very well however!
The tape width needs to be wider . It’s to narrow . It pulled away within 24 hours of installation. I think with a wider base for the film to stick to this issue could be solved. I used two lengths around the window, and this worked out great!

There’s a learning curve. I made so many mistakes on my Patio Window/Door, that I was a Pro by the time I got to my bedroom window. I press very hard on the tape before I pull off the backing. I let it cure 10-15 minutes. I opened the plastic all the way — it’s double folded and hard to see. Then I cut the pieces shorter and left the width I needed. It’s easier to work with shorter plastic. It’s also easier to use shorter lengths of tape. I used a pointy tool to remove the tape backing. Then after one pieces was installed, I placed tape across it and started the 2nd piece of plastic higher on the window. Worked just fine for me without any gaps. My blinds cover the plastic so I don’t have to see it. This takes longer than you think it will because the plastic catches on the tape and you need to be careful. You need to let tape cure 10-15 minutes after you remove the backing. I recommend cutting the plastic into shorter pieces, then using extra tape to connect them to each other once the first piece is installed. THANK YOU

The tape provided does not secure the sheeting . I had several places to pull apart. I had to re tape with clear cellophane. They need to strengthen the adhesive on the tape. Also difficult to separate the cover from the tape.

What a difference this product has made. I wish I had purchased this year’s ago. I live in an old draft house and once I put this on it immediately felt warmer. Will purchase every year from now one. Easy to install also.
