Good quality air filters designed to filter larger particles.

I’ve been using the Filtrete MPR 300 filters for a while now, and they’ve consistently performed well in maintaining the air quality in my home. The 16x25x1 size fits perfectly in my HVAC system, and the 6-pack offers great value.
These filters effectively capture household dust and lint, thanks to their electrostatically charged fibers. I appreciate that they don’t overly restrict airflow, which helps my system run efficiently. I make it a point to replace them every 90 days, as recommended, to ensure optimal performance.
Pros:
Effective at trapping dust and lint
Affordable 6-pack offers good value
Doesn’t impede airflow
Cons:
Not designed for capturing smaller particles like pollen or pet dander
Overall, the Filtrete MPR 300 filters are a solid choice for basic air filtration needs. If you don’t have specific concerns like allergies or pets, these filters should serve you well.

Bought the six-pack of Filtrete 18 × 24 × 1 (MPR 300, MERV 5) filters and just put the first one in. It slid right into the return without any bending or fuss—nice to find something that truly matches the listed size.
Switched from a “premium” filter that felt like it was suffocating my blower. With this one, the air moves freely again and the house doesn’t feel stuffy. Three weeks in, I can already see it catching dust and pet hair, but the HVAC fan sounds happier and isn’t running as long. Six filters will carry me through roughly a year and a half, so the price per change is easy on the wallet.
Simple, does what it should, and keeps the air flowing. Five stars.

Bought these because they were the most economical. We replace the filter (depending on the season) approx. 1 per month or every 3 months. So far it has work very well, since when we remove it, it is very dirty, so that’s good. Shows it is working well like it’s supposed to. I would recommend these. Easy to install, easy to remove, very worth the money which is economical. You get quite a few for the price and they can last awhile depending on how frequently you replace the filter. Also, my spouse does not sneeze as much during allergy season with these.

The only problem was that 1 was broken and I was reimbursed for the broken one

I picked up this Filtrete filter ahead of allergy season to help keep dust and pet dander out of our HVAC system. It’s easy to install. just slide it in the same spot as the old filter and you’re good to go. After a few weeks, I noticed less dust on surfaces and even my sinuses felt a bit less irritated.
The MERV 11 rating strikes a nice balance, it’s more effective than basic filters but doesn’t overly restrict airflow. My furnace seems to run the same as always and hasn’t shown any strain. I like that the filter has clear airflow arrows and a change reminder printed right on it.
Pros:
– Traps small particles like pollen, pet dander, and mold spores
– Simple, tool-free installation
– Doesn’t make the system work harder
– Easy-to-read airflow direction and replacement info
Cons:
– A bit more expensive than basic filters
– Needs changing every one to two months for peak performance
If you want cleaner indoor air without overloading your HVAC, this filter is a good choice. I’ll continue using it, especially when allergies spike.

This 3M product strikes a great balance between air filtration and system performance. The MERV 5 is a great filter level in my experience that won’t stress or overwork the air handler by being too much of an encumbrance.
The 24”x24”x1” is specifically hard to find and I’ve had luck finding the 6 pack on Amazon at a great price.

Absolutely love these air filters! They’re high quality and work perfectly with my heating and cooling unit. I’ve noticed a real improvement in the air quality in my home since using them—they really do catch everything.
I have them set up on a subscription to arrive every three months, which makes things so much easier. No more forgetting to change them. Great value for the money and zero hassle. Highly recommend!

I use these Filtrete 20x30x1 air filters as part of my Corsi-Rosenthal box setup to help filter out dog and cat dander and hair. The 30-inch length fits perfectly as the vertical dimension, matching well with the 20-inch width of the box fan I use.
The filter quality is solid—they’re pleated, durable, and hold up well for the full 3-month recommended lifespan without sagging. There’s no unpleasant chemical smell, which is important since the filters run continuously.
In terms of effectiveness, they do a great job capturing pet hair, dander, and everyday dust particles. The MERV 5 rating provides good basic filtration while maintaining strong airflow through my DIY box fan system.
The functionality is spot-on for a Corsi-Rosenthal box: easy to assemble, secure fit, and good filtration performance at an affordable price.
✅ Ideal size and fit for Corsi-Rosenthal box construction
✅ Durable pleated filters with no bad smell
✅ Effective basic filtration for pet dander and dust
✅ Maintains airflow while filtering well
✅ Affordable and reliable for continuous use
If you’re building a Corsi-Rosenthal box or just want a solid basic filter for pet dander, these are a great choice!

We change our house filters every 3 months, and this brand has become our go-to choice. These filters are super efficient at keeping the air clean and really help reduce dust throughout our home. We’ve noticed a big difference in how fresh the air feels—and we definitely breathe and live better because of it. The 6-pack is a great value and ensures we always have a replacement on hand when it’s time for a change. Reliable, effective, and convenient—highly recommend!
