Really like this product so far! It have been working out great for us, we live in a very dry climate and when summer comes around my wife tends to struggle with allergies and other issues brought on by the dry weather. I have used humidifiers in the past and none of them seemed to work very well and I would end up giving up on them after a few uses. Not with this one, it is super simple to set up and use, it is quite and doesn’t disturb you either during the day or at night. I ran my all day at high and then refilled it and have been running it on low ever since and I can tell a difference in my room air as well as my quality of breathing as well! I also like this product because it doesn’t require distilled water but either ultra purified water or distilled so it makes refilling it for me quite simple and hassle free!

Iโve owned several brands of humidifiers from inexpensive to one that cost $300. THIS humidifier is my all time favorite! It puts out plenty of mist on the lowest setting, is easy to fill, great directional lid and Itโs Super Easy To Clean; something NO other brand Iโve owned can claim with honesty. Living in a very dry climate (high desert) it is impossible to grow orchids without a โRecovery Spaceโ with HUMIDITY. This humidifier has made everything so much easier for me and Iโm grateful! After getting this unit, I repotted most all of my orchid, cutting off all the spent roots before putting each in new bark/soil mix. They are absolutely thriving after three weeks; ALL are sending out lots of new roots thanks in great part to enough humidity. I wish this unit had an even larger holding tank (suggestion). If the company comes up with a unit with a larger capacity tank, I will definitely purchase it! This humidifier deserves all five stars โฆ. Iโd give it SIX if I could!!!

Very effective humidifier for this price range. I noticed my poor kitty was licking his paws excessively, and realized his nails and toes were really dry. I wanted a cheap humidifier that would fill the air of an 800 square foot room and the Dreo does it very well.
I love the wide opening that the mist comes out of. It looks nice and is very quiet, even on high. A couple of complaints: 1. No matter what setting you choose, the same amount of mist comes out. Itโs basically always on high. 2. It has the stupidest design for refilling. You can pour water into the top, but you either have to lift the entire tank out and carry it to a sink while it drips all over the floor, or you have to bring water to it with a jug or something. I found it to be messy both ways.
Big redeemer: Itโs designed beautifully for Easy Cleaning! Every single part can be removed and scrubbed or soaked. Since the opening of the tank is so large, you can put your whole hand in there to clean it thoroughly.
I have really hard water, so I use half distilled, half tap. And I soak the mineral deposit buildup spots in pure white vinegar which breaks it down perfectly.

Some helpful hints I found have helped to keep this humidifier working. First, make sure the tape and Styrofoam block are removed from the product. Second, when filling the tank, make sure that room temp water is added, especially the for the first time. Hot water may damage the seal. Third, do not fill water above the MAX level. The extra weight may cause leaks in the seal. Fourth, all small humidifiers like this will get bacteria/mold if not cleaned every 2-3 days. It is the nature of having water heating up for days without cleaning. If you don’t like cleaning it every three days, understand that there will be mold/bacteria inside the base’s small tank. It’s just that simple. Cleaning is easy, but it takes some time to thoroughly clean the unit. … and fifth, make sure NO water gets in the part that looks like a tower on the base’s smaller tank. A small amount will flood the air intake and the electronics’ board. This will mess up the controls. If it does happen, use a blow dryer on low to try and dry the board at the base of the unit. Otherwise, a couple of days should dry it out. If it isn’t severely flooded, it may still work. Also, NEVER put anything but water in the tank when in use. Vicks, scented oils, or anything else will wreck this humidifier. The only thing I use in the tank is white vinegar to clean and descale it, but after that kind of cleaning, I rinse it out thoroughly and then dry it completely. Keep in mind, tap water is not the best water to use (lots of minerals) which is why white dust from this humidifier can go everywhere in the home and stick to the inside areas of the humidifier. Best to use distilled water or at least buy a demineralizing cartridge if using tap water (they last 4-6 months). Hope these helpful hint work for your humidifier. Took a lot of trial and error beforehand, but once I used this information, there hasn’t been an issue yet with my Dreo humidifier or any of my previous humidifiers. Best of luck
UPDATE: I started to have some issues with dust just like what others have be experiencing. I contacted Dreo by email and customer rep, Carol Hesung, was able to help resolve the problem. While suggesting that distilled water is the best way to combat the dust, I mentioned it wouldn’t work out for me due to the high cost of distilled water per month. Carol understood and offered a complete refund for this unit and for the larger unit I purchased. Not only that, the demineralizing cartridge filter (3-pack) I bought was also refunded. Carol said there was no need to return any of these products. Not only was I pleasantly surprised with this outcome, it proved to me that Dreo is all about making it right for the customer if problems arise. With the actions Dreo has made, I will definitely recommend them and make future purchases from this company. Their customer service has been stellar and I wish other businesses would follow their lead. The Dreo team puts customers first and that is one of their best services offered. Thank you Dreo and thank you Carol.
I was able to set the Dreo up quickly and finally get some moister back into my room. So far, this is product is working very well. It is super quiet, compact and easy to take apart, clean and put back together. There are many easily operated controls for such a small unit. 4L is quite small for my living room, but for a small bedroom, this will do the trick. I am pleased with the looks, the style, the easy operation, the light system, but most of all the steam output and the way you can direct the steam is an added bonus. If this can last as long as my old humidifier of 9 years, then I will be that loyal customer only to Dreo for sure. It really is a good humidifier even for its smaller footprint. Definitely recommend.
