I got this for me and my wife for Christmas. I stoped drinking coffee at home because my wife makes it way too strong and bitter. We both have our own profiles set up. I really took a chance on this and I am so glad we did We both love this machine and the coffees it makes. The coffee quality is coffee shop quality ! I was going to buy a more expensive one, but didn’t like aspects of that machine. I love everything about this one except you can’t hard pipe the water line. The water container is easy enough, located that you can remove it from the front of the machine and also has a water filter too that is easy enough. If there is one thing I am having trouble with … is when I went to take apart the milk container to clean it. The top knob part, there was a piece that separated from it. This piece connects to the top knob and is the part the goes into the top and controls where the dial is moved. Well, I had a hard time figuring out the right way to put it on … as it turns out I didn’t put it on right and the dial doesn’t line up (or work) now, I am having trouble getting it off…can’t get it off. I am back on to see if I can order this part.

I was a little hesitant because of price, but after using it, I am so glad I purchased it. Does extremely well on milk based drinks…great frothing and temperature control. A lot of folks complained about low coffee temperatures…I have found it to supply coffee at the correct brewed temperatures. Water reservoir could be larger and needs refilling after a few Americanos, but is easy to view water height and refill. The machine is easy to clean and will prompt you when things are needed to be done. Machine makes awesome coffee beverages and is simple for anyone to use.

Not one! –
Wish it brew a little hotter and while it froth’s milk perfectly, it can be a bit finnicky some times. I use it multiple times a day, love the Machine and do not regret buying it. Main brews being Americano’s, Hot Chocolates, Lattes and Cappuccino’s. They all taste amazing once set up right.
There is lots of options for User Customization’s for each brew which is nice. I had an Breville Oracle touch which I ended up getting rid of after grabbing this as this is more convenient. The only thing I liked better on the Breville was it brewed hotter, but as long as you pre-warm your cup it ends of being the same.

First impressions: this is great! Bought for 2nd home, and comparing to a 1 yr old Philips Lattego 5400 that I have in my other house. Both items I got on sale during Amazon Prime days. I like the LatteGo, which is also easy to use. But the Delonghi Magnifica Plus I feel is a definite step above. The components feel sturdier and less plastic. Setup is so easy (on screen instructions match the instruction booklet).
What really does it for me is the milk cartridge, since I primarily drink lattes. Delonghi’s milk canister has clearly marked level lines and most importantly, when it cleans itself, there is no water that goes back into the canister. With the Lattego, I never really use the self-clean function because water re-enters the canister during its quick clean and the remaining milk then gets watered down. So then I end up having to pour the milk back into my milk bottle (or drink it), and then manually rinse the whole thing in the sink. Not so with this Delonghi milk canister! When it cleans, water and steam only go down the spout. So I can truly just dump the whole milk canister in the fridge if I have leftover milk. The other thing is that the foam it creates is adjustable and creamier. With the Lattego, you can’t really set foam level and so you just end up with a thick topping of foam that isn’t really a coffee shop equivalent experience.
A downside could be that the water filter theoretically needs to be replaced every 2 months, and that could add up. With the Philips, I haven’t been prompted to descale or change the filter yet (I do sometimes use filtered water anyway when refilling the tank).

I was so excited to receive the machine – makes great coffee. All of a sudden it kept going to milk drinks and you had to exit out to get all drinks. I usually make coffee so this was extremely annoying. It then started flashing between Milk and Coffee drinks (the light below those) and you had to clear out. Then it no longer lights up with you hit either. Due to it being purchase just over 60 days I now had to go directly to DeLonghi and their support is horrendous. We did some troubleshooting and it was determined there is a bad computer / communication board and it needs to be sent in. I then receive email I will receive a box with instructions and I received an empty shipping box with label, padding but no instructions. I wanted about a week for instructions to be emailed and never happened. I am packing it today taking to fed ex and hoping for the best. For a machine over $1K and having these type of issues in less than 90 days it should be replaced and they should refurbish this machine. Thankful I saved by Moca Master coffee pot in the event of issues or I would have no coffee pot for 2 weeks minimum. Very disappointed and regretful I ever purchased.

We’ve had this a week and everyone loves it. It’s more intuitive than I thought it would be and there’s really great features I wasn’t expecting. Like everyone else, I read reviews on different super automatic coffee machines and I am so glad I pulled the trigger on this one. The price is right between the lower and upper end machines and it’s feature packed. The water is easy to fill as I don’t have to remove the full water container. Cleaning the used pucks is a breeze too. More importantly the espressos and other drinks have been great and the milk foam is a great consistency. I’ve read folks complaining about the milk options being a little cold, but I haven’t experienced this at all. I did purchase the Amazon 4 year warranty for peace of mind.
