If you are looking to find a quality burger press/smasher to make burgers on your Blackstone, or other similar griddle, you are going to be happy. It does the job and does it well. I think it is well constructed, and you should have no complaints as to how it functions. But…
Like a few other reviewers I was really disappointed in some of the adhesive that was used in the packaging. Really, really f_____g annoying. I should not have to spend this much time to get this gunk off of what I bought. This should be fixed, no excuse. Would be 5 stars if not for this nonsense.

The edges are sharp, and for some unnessary reason they use some sort of industrial glue to attach the cardboard label, which is the biggest pain in the butt to remove. As far as I am concerned the people who come up with this idea of gluing labels and stickers that don’t come off easily should be fired!! Why do they feel the need to punish people for buying their products?

I bought this ‘Cusinart’ press expecting the stainless steel to be as food grade. I tested it with a magnet, and to my surprise – it stuck. Food grade 304 or 316 stainless steel is NOT magnetic which the main differences from 430 stainless steel which is what I think this is made from. While technically this press is made from ‘stainless steel’ and will have corrosion resistance, food-grade stainless steels contain higher levels of chromium and nickel. 430 stainless steel is not considered food-grade. From review sites, “…it is not suitable for use in food processing, storage, or handling applications due to its lower corrosion resistance and potential for contamination.” I returned it.
