I have had several ice machines in my lifetime but this is my favorite. It is compact and very quiet. It makes wonderful small nugget ice. The only thing I would change is that I’d expand the storage area for the ice. This ice maker is wonderful for home use but would not stand up under high ice usage such as a party. But it meets my needs perfectly.

I’ve been using this ice machine for about five days so I cannot speak to its longevity but I do want to compare it to my old GE opal XL 2.0 that died after only two years.
The size of this one is obviously much smaller but so far it’s making an adequate amount of ice for 3-4 adults. The nugget ice is a good size and a good softness. The ice quality is probably a little less than the opal ice but again for the price it’s great.
The machine is easy to use and set up was super fast. You see in the pic what the ice looks like and the video shows where the water reservoir is and how easy it is to fill it.
It makes a good amount of ice quickly. I was worried the bin was small but it is doing the job just fine.
Noise level! One of our big complaints with the opal was the noise and this one is MUCH QUIETER!!!
Overall I’m very happy with this machine and as long as it continues to work I prefer the price point, noise level, and less work/cleaning over the opal.

Easy setup. Makes ice quickly. Noise level is less than desirable. Runs often and noisy. Sizer is fine for cabinet top.

I gave it four stars, not for any problems with its ability to make ice, but rather a thing that they could have added to help with the ice not melting. See below….
When I first plugged it in and tried it, the first set of cubes that came out were very small and thin. The second set was a little better but not much. At that point I was thinking this may not work out.
So I just kept letting it make ice, and figure it out the best way to go about making ice with this.
It takes a couple of rounds for the internal temperature, etc. to be cold enough to make the full size pieces of ice. You do have to be in close attendance, and empty the ice out as it makes it because there is no cooling ability in the basket that catches the ice.
So here’s the reason I gave it four stars. If they would have included some sort of either aluminum or stainless steel liner in that basket the first set of ice cubes would then generate a colder environment with the metal basket generating cold from the ice that was sitting on it. I lined it with tin foil and my theory does hold water, so to speak. Also if the water in the tank starts out cold, it does help to have the environment where the ice dispenses to colder. Another thought I had was a gel pack that you could freeze that would be the size of the bottom of the basket to also help facilitate a colder environment.
The best way to make ice is when you’re going to be in the kitchen preparing a meal, cleaning, whatever. That way you can momentarily stop, empty the basket into a little ziplock and stick that in your freezer. By the time you’re done preparing your meal or cleaning, you would have filled up at least a quart size Ziploc bag. For me one of those bags is enough ice on any given day. I do like the fact that I can make ice as I need it rather than purchasing a bag of ice and having this big thing in your freezer that depletes in size as ice is used. This has allowed me to free up freezer space. I don’t like ice cube trays, I don’t like making ice in the freezer. Ends up just kind of tasting like your freezer.
In all, I think this is a great machine and a must have if you use ice on the daily.
Just a note, I do only make ice for two people. So if you have a large household, I would suggest each person taking turns to make enough ice to satisfy everybody’s needs, so that the responsibility doesn’t fall on just one person in the house.

It’s so small. Yes it makes ice, but the ice gets stuck at the back and you have to continuously be sweeping the back to clear the ice.
Used to a bigger machine so not impressed with this at all.
While they like to say it’s a small footprint but makes more ice don’t believe it. It is small and the amount of ice that can be made at once is abysmal.

The only issue I have is that this tends to freeze up if you don’t keep enough water in it. Everything else about it I love! My kids love to eat the ice out of a cup and it’s soft enough to not have to worry about their teeth. Highly recommend

So far, I like this ice maker. It doesn’t really compare to my Frigidaire Gallery, but it works similar. The price was way better. There are some things I don’t like. CONS: #1. On the side where the fan is, it gets HOT. Like, HOT air. I had something sitting close to it on the counter and ended up moving it because it was literally getting hot. #2. It isn’t easy to add water. You have to lift the basket out and if it has ice in it, then you either have to hold it or sit it down and pour the water with the other hand. It just isn’t very easy. #3. The drain plugs to clean it are UNDER the ice maker. So you either have to slide it to the edge of the counter and use a bowl to catch the water or you have to move it to the sink. Not very easy to clean. #4. For whatever reason, my ice keeps getting stuck in a line and says the ice is full. You have to shift the ice around every few minutes to make sure it keeps making ice. PROS: #1. The ice is soft and really good. #2. It isn’t loud at all. #3. I like the compact size, sort of.
Overall, I probably would have spent a little more and got one that is more functional, but for what it is, this one is ok.
