It’s so small. Yes it makes ice, but the ice gets stuck at the back and you have to continuously be sweeping the back to clear the ice. Used to a bigger machine so not impressed with this at all. While they like to say it’s a small footprint but makes more ice don’t believe it. It is small and the amount of ice that can be made at once is abysmal.

This was not what I expected. The ice making process takes a lot of babysitting as you have to continually clear the shoot where the ice comes out or it thinks the bin is full and stops making ice. Also, when you hit the button to make ice, it runs water THROUGH THE ICE for like 5-8 seconds for unknown reasons. This melts the ice and makes it slushy. My biggest complaint though, and I assume this is not normal for ice makers, is you can not leave the ice in the bin because it immediately starts melting. You need to either immediately use it or put it in a bag in the freezer. I was sorely disappointed when I got up the next morning after babying and stirring the ice to get a full bin to fill up my water cup, and the bin had melted and was about 1/4 full. I will be returning this machine…..not worth the effort.

I’ve been using this ice machine for about five days so I cannot speak to its longevity but I do want to compare it to my old GE opal XL 2.0 that died after only two years.
The size of this one is obviously much smaller but so far it’s making an adequate amount of ice for 3-4 adults. The nugget ice is a good size and a good softness. The ice quality is probably a little less than the opal ice but again for the price it’s great.
The machine is easy to use and set up was super fast. You see in the pic what the ice looks like and the video shows where the water reservoir is and how easy it is to fill it.
It makes a good amount of ice quickly. I was worried the bin was small but it is doing the job just fine.
Noise level! One of our big complaints with the opal was the noise and this one is MUCH QUIETER!!!
Overall I’m very happy with this machine and as long as it continues to work I prefer the price point, noise level, and less work/cleaning over the opal.

So far, I like this ice maker. It doesn’t really compare to my Frigidaire Gallery, but it works similar. The price was way better. There are some things I don’t like. CONS: #1. On the side where the fan is, it gets HOT. Like, HOT air. I had something sitting close to it on the counter and ended up moving it because it was literally getting hot. #2. It isn’t easy to add water. You have to lift the basket out and if it has ice in it, then you either have to hold it or sit it down and pour the water with the other hand. It just isn’t very easy. #3. The drain plugs to clean it are UNDER the ice maker. So you either have to slide it to the edge of the counter and use a bowl to catch the water or you have to move it to the sink. Not very easy to clean. #4. For whatever reason, my ice keeps getting stuck in a line and says the ice is full. You have to shift the ice around every few minutes to make sure it keeps making ice. PROS: #1. The ice is soft and really good. #2. It isn’t loud at all. #3. I like the compact size, sort of.
Overall, I probably would have spent a little more and got one that is more functional, but for what it is, this one is ok.
