I’m hoping these last at least 2-3 months & are able to trap mold spores as well as cat dander & general dust & dirt particles. Only time will reveal this. The filters are pretty basic as the price indicates but should probably be OK for use in our secondary intake. It’s hard to tell much more since they are having to be returned due to being badly damaged in shipping. It’s obvious they could be packaged better, like in the box from the factory. ZERO stars to Amazon for packing and shipping. I ordered this separately and marked it as a gift so it wouldn’t be included in the same box as 2 heavy items I had also ordered earlier that day. What does Amazon do? Package all of the items together and these filters, ALL 6 of them, get crushed on 3 sides during shipping due to how they were packaged and what they were packaged with. Come on!
Updated score and review: I received replacement filters that arrived in perfect condition. They were sent in a box by themselves so no damage. These appear to be good filters with enough pleats to filter well and not create excessive back pressure.I like that they are 1/16 of an inch smaller than the typical filter since this air intake is a very tight fit. This brand just fits better for my application. I appreciate the seller offering a refund but the replacements will do fine.

I change my filters every 2 months, so this package lasts for 1 year. It’s a MERV 13 so it really traps a lot of particulates that would otherwise end up as dust on the floor or other surfaces. They fit perfectly, are easy to install, and each h one easily lasts 2 months. We are smokers, and it also helps filter out the smoke, which helps keep the house from smelling like an ashtray. They fit perfectly value is decent. I mean, I would love for everything to cost less, but for a year, under 50$ is well worth what the filters accomplish. If you are unfamiliar with home filters, the higher the MERV, the more it captures from the air. A MERV 13 is a very good filter rating for your home and will help capture everything from smoke to pollen and dust.
